The craziness from fashion week has been and gone. I had the most amazing week ever, but it’s not as glamorous as looks sometimes. Today I’m sharing some of my fashion week lessons and favourite moments I had from my first experience.
I’m pretty much the most unorganised person which made sticking to a schedule quiet hard for me. But I learnt it’s a must for fashion, especially having your all outfits organised for everyday, knowing your timetable and being on time. For next year I know what to expect and what I need to do to be more prepared.
Meeting New People
Best thing about blogging is meeting like minded people and those who share the same passion and love for fashion as you do. But you don’t always get to meet people every week since your life outside of blogging gets in the way, so fashion week is best the time to make new friends and connect again with old friends you haven’t seen in awhile.
One thing I’ve learnt is that having a group of friends who support you. I was lucky enough to have a great group of friends to hang out with at fashion week and show me the ropes of how it all works. So I have them to thank for that, otherwise my fashion week could of been a little lonely and no where near as much fun.
Since I’ve only been blogging for almost a year I certainly didn’t have the connections of some of my other blogger friends who have been doing it for longer and who know the industry better then me. So I lucky enough to make more connections and build on relationships with the fashion pr companies and designers. Which is what helps your blog the most when it comes to working on great opportunities. I’m looking forward to opening more doors in the second year of my blog and too continuing growing my brand.
